Calvary Irvine Missions
Scotland:
In 1997 CC Irvine helped send Dan and Patricia Starling to minister in Scotland. After two years of working with Calvary Chapel Motherwell, and another fellowship near Edinburgh, they felt the Lord leading them to begin a work in Danderhall. In the spring of 1999 they started a new church there, Calvary Chapel Fellowship.
In a country that was once a bastion of biblical truth and preaching, today Biblically sound churches are few and far between. The once soft soil has grown hard. But God is faithful, and this new body is growing in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. They have begun outreach to the community through a school based program called "Scripture Union" that brings the Bible to those little ones who never hear it at home. Calvary Fellowship is also reaching out in various ways to the local communities in and around Edinburgh.
Mexico Outreach Ministry
Calvary Chapel Irvine helps to support an orphange in East Tiajuana called Casa Hogar Dibujando Sonrisa. They are now 5 years old as an orphange and my how the Lord is Blessing. Their needs are still extensive including some of the basics.
Martha de la Rosa is the Director of the orphange and has a most powerful vision. Simply put, She wants to raise these kids in the admonition of Christ so that when they grow up they can go out and affect the City of Tijuana for Christ. WOW. With the help of their church, Agua Vida (Living Water) and Pastor Esteban and several churchs from North of the border they are making great strides in the lives of these precious children.
There are now 40 kids living there and several helpers. Martha's son Daniel and his wife and kids have also come along side as Assistant Director.
We go down to the Orphanage on a monthly basis to bring food, supplies, minister to the children, and provide labor for repairs and building projects. If you would like more information about the orphanage please contact Pastor Bill. Keep checking here for more information as it comes available.
